Stayed at  Bristol - Oslo, Norway.
We purchased Streetwise Oslo and independently toured the city according the sections offered by the book. We felt that we achieved a great overview of what Oslo offers. We used public transportation with ease. Our favorite destination was Vigeland Sculpture Park. Oslo is a fantastic city...beautiful, friendly, vibrant and safe.

Stayed at  Bondeheimen - Oslo, Norway.
Oslo has its attractions but we thought other Norwegian cities had more to offer.

Stayed at  Neptun - Bergen, Norway.
We had bought our own car over on the ferry but did not use it for the first two days as there was plenty to see and do on Bergen. We went for quite an extensive walk at the top of the funicular, went to galleries, shops, markets etc, Greigs House and then drove over to the islands which was fascinating.

Stayed at  Anker Hotel - Oslo, Norway.
Vacation was centered on the Scandinavian countries, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. We used the Eurail Pass. These countries tend to be more expensive than other European countries, but well worth the trip.

Stayed at  Anker Hotel - Oslo, Norway.
Norway is a great tourist destination, mostly due to its majestic nature - fjords, mountains and waterfalls. People are extremely friendly and helpful. Oslo is not Norway's best asset, but the Vigeland Park and the Viking ship museum are worth visiting.

Stayed at  Quality Panorama - Trondheim, Norway.
A very calm place with a wonderful nature.

Stayed at  Rainbow Hotel Europa - Oslo, Norway.
Flytoget is an excellent way to get to and from the airport.

R Carstairs 14 October 2002
Stayed at  Bondeheimen - Oslo, Norway.
Oslo was sadly not as beautiful as we had imagined although there is lots to see and do. Use Oslo as a stopping off point to allow you to visit the rest of what is a stunningly beautiful country.

Stayed at  Bondeheimen - Oslo, Norway.
A wonderful country filled with beautiful scenery, friendly people and interesting sites. VERY expensive to eat and drink.

E Rowe 28 June 2002
Stayed at  Radisson SAS Scandinavia - Oslo, Norway.
Be sure to take in the sculpture garden, a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel. Beautiful grounds and the sculptures ... Can't comment on the transportation around town as we walked - pretty easy thing to do. The airport express train is great and the way to get into the City.
