I had a most expensive and unappetizing dinner at a road-side restaurant opposite the 7-Eleven next to the hotel. It cost 1200 baht and most of the food remained uneaten.
If you're keen on some shopping after dinner, the Night Market is a good place to buy cheap clothes and stuff. There's a lot of food also.

Shops around the hotel offer cheap bargains although if one is really not that delicate, the "market" offers cheaper goods. The market can be reached through Thailand's famous tuktuk vehicle and it just costs 10 bahts each from the hotel.

Since the hotel is right in the city-centre you can reach every place you want walking; nice city for shopping.

Take time to do your shopping. Bargain and be nice - the best bargains are the ones you get after you've asked around.

The "shopping areas" are all within walking distance to the hotel. If you don't fancy walking, there are always tuk-tuk to drive you around, costing 10-20 Baht per person.

The Asean trade (night market) at Hat Yai its a must for people wanna buy cheap clothing. I tasted Tom Yam (Spicy & Sour soup cooked with pork) there as well. It's far better than Malaysia's TomYam. For ladies, get your LV, Gucci, Guess etc handbags at Hat Yai in as low as 3000 baht.

My experience not so good because the place quite messy and dirty..anyway some fast foods quite tasty....be careful when you bargain with the hawkers...the products normally are forged...you should negotiate the price.

The best restaurant is on top of Lee Garden Plaza Hotel which they serve water-mountering food (buffet style) with just 129 bath. The good place to buy cloth and shirt is at the market where you can buy value for money good. Of course they are a lot of local food along the road shoulder and big shopping mall around the Regency Hotel.
